Pelican Broth Vessel

Vessel inspired by French ecuelles and porringers. It uses the one handed “bleeding cup” form, and employs the Christian motif of the pelican piercing its breast to feed its children.

Spoon handle cast in sterling silver. Vulcanized rubber molds were made of the spoon handle, and the resulting waxes were partially formed while warm, and formed the rest of the way after they were cast.

Brooch with hand-carved stone and wax carved and casted silver hands. Inspired by the story of the pilgrims encountering Jesus after his death. Particularly their seven mile journey back to Jerusalem whence they came upon recognizing that the man they had encountered on the road was Him. Found in Luke 24:13-35.

Small candlesticks representing each person of the divine Trinity, using the allegory of the parts of a tree. The roots, trunk, and leaves being the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, respectively.

Rug hand woven on floor loom with Turkish knots in the Persian style. Easily one hundred hours of labor.
